Nathan's Birthday

Nathan's birthday involved a cookie cake, a chocolate cake, and a chocolate ice cream cake, a special lunch at school, Griz-fest (school carnival complete with jail (see andrew's photo), colored hair spray (with mom's approval, of course), silly string fights and lots of bouncy castles, and some really smelly camel rides which we chose to abstain from), family, lots of family, a rained out game, another special lunch with family, and then a party with all his friends that included put put, baseball and bungi jumping, all within 24 hours. Nathan also raised money (over $500) for the Alzheimer's Association by asking for donations rather than gifts. Although, he did receive some really cool presents from family, some of which involves Nerf guns. There is certain no shortage of weapons in our house. I think there's one for every kid on the block to play a good game of spies & bad guys (as Andrew calls it). Life is good. It's good to be 9. Happy Birthday, sweet Nathan.

Spring Break

Nathan leaves for spring break on an adventure to the grand canyon with his granddad... although, it WAS an adventure, they only made it as far as Sedona. Nathan enjoyed his time with Granddad, though.
