June 2008
At a table with Michelle and Wai Quan & spouses.
Sweet Jason agreed to go with me to the MANZA Ball (the Malaysian, New Zealand, Australian Assiociation). My friend Nikki organized it, knowing we were leaving, I just couldn't miss this one! We enjoyed dinner, (one) dance and the company! Called it an early night- but completely content and glad we came.
Nikki & Melissa (an "ocar" theme- oh well, the gold dress was completely unintentional!)
Mother's Day May 08
We went to church in Ampang, the Bridge International Church on Mother's Day. We've really grown to love our church home here. It's diversity has been one of the most beautiful of any church we've seen. Services usually last about 2 hours. The first hour with the children in the service with you (always a challenge with our boys!) singing praise and worship, then for the second half, the sermon and kids have Sunday school.
Later, my sweet Aussie friend, Nikki came with Karen and I for afternoon high tea in the drawing room (balcony) at Carcosa Seri Negara, a colonial boutique Malaysian heritage hotel built in early 1900's for the British, in the Lake Gardens in KL.

We flew the family to a resort in Phuket. Gorgeous hotel and weather. Nathan took circus lessons, both played in pool daily and we enjoyed some delicious Thai food. Fabulous!
Singapore, May 2008
In April, Jason's parents, Glenn and Karen came to visit us for the last time in KL. They took a special trip to Singapore with Nathan and Jason to see the sights. Taking the duck tour of the city (a bus that goes on land and in the water!). Everyone enjoyed the trip!
Views of Singapore. The Smith's loved it! Nathan's second trip here- his favorite of course is the night safari! (below)
We're (Nathan and I) getting ready for one more trip there this weekend (June 24)!

Family Photos
We just had family photos taken today- by a sweet friend of mine, Nikki Wilson-- and wanted to post them right away! The boys were so excited this morning! Andrew was wound up and more interested in climbing up and down the stairs than having photos taken. Nathan did a super job of trying to get his brother to pose for the camera!

Nathan's Birthday- April 9, 2008
For Nathan's birthday, we made cupcakes inside icecream cones and let the kids decorate with icing and sprinkles in the classroom. We also read the Dr. Suess (Nathan's current favorite author) Happy Birthday book. It was a big hit!
We invited just a few of his friends to the climbing wall @ Camp 5 (the largest in SouthEast Asia). He's a mountain goat! He can climb so quickly all the way to the top.
Yoga April 2008
As a part of my Yoga Alliance certification, I created a poster to sell where the proceeds go to charity that moms could use at home for self practice for pre/post natal yoga. (This is one side of it above, post natal. There's another side not pictured with pre-natal.) In May, I held charity classes at Fit for 2, where I teach weekly prenatal yoga and hatha yoga, that raised RM2000 for an orphanage (www.Agathians.org) here in KL Here's a link to a newspaper article: http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/5/11/healthnfitness/21137162&sec=healthnfitness.
Bible Study, March 2008
A few of the ladies from Bible study- a night out. (Clockwise, Melissa Geanette, Teresa, Lay Har, Amy (fearless leader), Suzanne, and Cindy)
I've attended a Bible study at MKIS (Nathan's school) since we arrived in KL, held on Monday afternoons. Nathan and his friends had afterschool activites, then were looked after by a sitter. Here's Nathan & Andrew with the Gerberding kids- Andrew is especially taken with Josh (the one holding the book). And Josh loved having Andrew tag along. : )

Easter Sunday, March 2008
Nathan sang with a group of 7-10 year olds in church for Easter Sunday. Richard, from China nearest to Nathan. And, Jacob and Lauren, friends from school also there.
Jeni, friend and Pastor Todd's wife, leading the kids in songs.
